LGBTQIA+ Communities and Allies

GT LGBTQIA+ Organizations

There are several organizations which support the LGBTQIA+ community on the Georgia Tech campus, including:

  • LGBTQIA+ Resource Center - offers many resources, trainings, programs, and events for all of campus. Center is in Suite 140 of the Charles A. Smithgall Jr. Student Services Building ("Flag Building")
  • Pride Alliance - "provides members who identify as LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, aromantic, and others) and their allies an organization where they can develop and cultivate a positive self-awareness."
  • Grad Pride - "student org run by LGBTQIA grads, post-docs, and allies at Georgia Tech"

In addition, many professional and trade organizations have units (e.g., sections, round tables, committees that focus on advocacy issues. The Encyclopedia of Associations, part of the Gale Directory Library database, lists some units.
